Congratulations to Morgan Ferguson & Peti Te Pou who were our class certificate recipients on Friday at assembly. Both girls bring positive attitudes to school each and every day. Morgan consistently displays our school values particularly respect & self management. She has a very caring nature and willingly supports others to help them succeed. Peti has an infectious smile and a bubbly personality. She has excellent self management skills, works hard and is also encouraging of others. We are very lucky to have these young ladies in our class.

Well done to Hayley Ahu (yr 7 girls), Carlos Hihi & Junior Hikaiti (yr 7 boys) who have been selected to represent GIS INT at the BOP touch champs in Rotorua this week. There was an overwhelming turnout from year 7 students at the trials, coaches could only select 9 students per team. These students have done extremely well and to have 3 players selected from room 24 makes us all super proud. Good Luck to them!

Something else to celebrate are our Waka Ama paddlers who will be heading to Uawa on Wednesday to compete in a regatta. Congratulations to Mairangi Campbell, Kiwa Ria Renata-Kokiri, Isaiah Preston-Tonga, Lil Dre Waru, Charlotte Taylor-Thompson & Leena Barnes from our class who will be joining others from Turanganui Syndicate to compete.
On Tuesday we have our school triathlon where those who qualified from our syndicate will go and compete against the rest of the school. From room 24 we have Carlos Hihi, Junior Hikaiti, Caleb Ruru, Rawhiti Kaiwai, Paige Tamatea, Hayley Ahu, Judaea Phillips, Charlotte Taylor-Thompson & Aria Randall who will be participating in the individual races. It would be great if you could come down and support, the school triathlon starts at 11am.
This week we begin our research on 'An influential person', someone who is a role model, is inspiring & supportive and who others can look up to. Check out the Influential Person report.
Finally, could you please ensure all pieces of your child's school uniform are named. Most days I have students saying that they have lost their shorts, jersey etc... however when I ask them if they are named they reply 'No'. It makes it very difficult to return lost property without having clothing named. Your attention to this will make my life easier, nga mihi
