He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - Warm Greetings to you all
Welcome to our Room 24 classroom blog! This is where you can keep updated on what we are all up to here at Gis Int throughout the year.
My name is Tracey Babbington - Maynard and I have the privilege of sharing the next important stage of your child's educational journey. This is my fifth year teaching at Gisborne Intermediate having previously taught at Awapuni School. My husband and I have twin children who are 14 years old. Our daughter Riata attends Lytton High School and our son Karepa goes to Gisborne Boys High School, they are year 11.
My husband Ryan is a Farm Manager and we live up the Waingake Valley (approx 30 minutes from town). Most of our weekends are spent riding horses as a family, camping, going to the beach, swimming at the river & spending quality time as a whanau. Some of my interests include coaching, playing a range of sport (including netball for Whangara Old Girls), being outdoors and upskilling in the evolving world of teaching.
Our school vision is 'Growing Great People' . There are many new exciting opportunities your child will face this year including academic, physical and social challenges. I look forward to guiding your child to have many positive learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, I trust that together with your support we can provide your child with a memorable year.
I look forward to catching up with your next Wednesday 10th February from 5-7pm at our Turanganui Syndicate meet the teacher evening.
