Firstly thank you to all our Rm 24 parents & whanau who attended our 'Meet the teacher' night last Wednesday. It was lovely to meet you all and I look forward to continuing to build our partnership to ensure your child has a successful year.
Speaking about partnership, on Thursday afternoon we put into practice our Tuakana/Teina (older person/younger person) programme where some of our lovely year 8 girls came into our classroom to help our year 7's set up their google accounts, complete an online survey and explore mathletics. This session not only help to build relationships within our syndicate but allowed others to share their skills and expertise and take on the role of a teacher (in which we ALL are)

Congratulations to Paige Tamatea & Vaelyhn Maurirere who were our first classroom recipients to be acknowledged at our weekly Friday assembly. Both have made a fantastic start to the term and were recognised for their contribution to the classroom, self management & just being happy, polite, amazing students.
On Friday we also had our annual swimming sports. Well done to Carlos Hihi, Paige Tamatea & Hayley Ahu from our class who qualified to represent our syndicate. Something I love to encouraging is to get students to take up challenges and give things a go. That is exactly what these students did and gave nothing but 100%.
