Week 8

Welcome to Week 8!

Check out these awesome young men who were acknowledged at assembly on Friday.  Lil Dre & Ford let their actions speak for them, both go about their way in a quiet & respectful manner.  We were all super proud of them to see them step out of their comfort zone and take on the challenge of presenting a speech to the whole class.  We all know that takes courage!

It was great to see all students present their speeches last week.  Going through to the syndicate finals are Paige, Hayley, Mairangi, Monaro and Vaelyhn who were voted the best by their classmates.  We wish them all the best.

More celebrations...  Well done to Hayley, Carlos & Junior who were represented GIS INT at our annual BOP/PB Ultimate Frisbee champs that was hosted by our school.  These students got to play against the best of the best and have learn't so much from the experience.  To top off a great day Hayley was selected as the MVP for her team.

Students have been on fire in room 24 with their Mathletics.  We now have Alishia, Sophie, Isaiah and Kaia who have joined Tobias (x2) & Caleb in gaining a Silver certificate.  Well done to all these students who have been putting in extra time and effort out side of school.  

A special mention to Caleb Ruru who was not only No.1 in NZ but No.2 in the WORLD!!!!!
