Week 5

Congratulations to Hayley & Paige who were named this week's certificate winners.  Both girls were credited for their ability to be able to work independently, seeking next learning steps but most importantly being helpful to others and assisting them to be successful.  These girls are part of our leadership group and everyday they put into practice their leadership qualities.  They are truly amazing!

This week we have been very busy preparing for our science & technology fair which starts on Monday.  Every student was required to complete a project with some being given the option to complete a fun theory project which is about modifying people's behaviour by providing something fun for them.  Ask your child about this concept you will be truly amazed!

We were also very fortunate to have a session with Koka Trudi Ngawhare from DOC.  She talked to the class about native trees and plants and how they were used for healing purposes.  This korero linked perfectly with our science ideas and we even got to enjoy a cup of kawakawa tea.
